The main tenants of feminism

The 3 main areas that feminism uses to “assert” that women have it worse off in society are the following…

1) Domestic Violence 2) Earning Differences 3) Current Positions in society 4) Women were oppressed for all of history, bla bla bla

1) Let’s tackle them one by one, Domestic Violence:

  • Harvard Medical School announced a major study showing that 24% of heterosexual couples have violence, half of it reciprocal, and that women initiate most of the reciprocal violence and 71% of the non-reciprocal violence, and both suffer significant injuries.
  • There are almost no male shelters, and almost exclusively female-only shelters and programs So let me get this straight? If women initiate, and get away with most of the violence (most men are taught to just sit and “take it like a man”)… And then the few women who do end up hurt get ALL the protection, benefits and state programs…
  • Women initiate DOUBLE the of child violence than men do. 38% commited by mother vs. 18 by men (link)
  • How is this an “advantage” for men again? I don’t get it? If you hit me 5 times, and I hit you once… Cops come and arrest me, you get all kinds of benefits (even if you did most of the hitting)… And that’s somehow my benefit? How does that logic fit anywhere? You’re allowed to whatever you want, and get away with it, and I have no rights to do anything, not allowed, and that makes me powerful? Huh? Btw, women don’t get arrested or persecuted for child violence either…

    2) Earning Differences

Note the key word here is “earning”. To “earn” means to get paid for something you DID. In other words, if you inherit money, you haven’t “earned” them. Some facts:

Senior women age 50 and older control net worth of $19 trillion and own more than three-fourths of the nation’s financial wealth. (link)

Women account for 85% of all consumer purchases including everything from autos to health care:

  • 91% of New Homes
  • 66% PCs
  • 92% Vacations
  • 80% Healthcare
  • 65% New Cars
  • 89% Bank Accounts
  • 93% Food
  • 93 % OTC PharmaceuticalsAmerican women spend about $5 trillion annually…
    Over half the U.S. GDP
  • WHILE… (link)

A greater percentage of women than men tend to work part-time.  Part-time work tends to
    pay less than full-time work.

A greater percentage of women than men tend to leave the labor force for child birth, child
care and elder care. Some of the wage gap is explained by the percentage of women who
were not in the labor force during previous years, the age of women, and the number of
    children in the home.

Women, especially working mothers, tend to value “family friendly” workplace policies
more than men. Some of the wage gap is explained by industry and occupation, particularly,
the percentage of women who work in the industry and occupation.

Although additional research in this area is clearly needed, this study leads to the unambiguous
conclusion that the differences in the compensation of men and women are the result of a
multitude of factors and that the raw wage gap should not be used as the basis to justify
corrective action.  Indeed, there may be nothing to correct. The differences in raw wages may be
almost entirely the result of the individual choices being made by both male and female workers.

SO LET ME GET THIS STRAIGHT? Women choose easier work, relax more, take more time off, choose more fulfilling jobs with more benefits (they prefer a nice cozy job, to a high paying job that’s demanding)… AND THEN they spend all the money that the men earn by working jobs that are boring, risky and dangerous… (95% of on-job injuries are males -u.s. health department)

Ok, someone explain to me how does this make the man “privileged”? Please. He’s slaving away to please women, doing crappy work that’s dangerous and that somehow makes him more privileged? WHAT? Can I please become the victim :) I’d love to be able to sit around, wait for someone to do all the work for me, do all the risk for me, even ask me out, as I sit back and have things handed to me… Oh, if that’s “powerlessness”, well boy, do I wanna be powerless!!!
